SOMERS LACROSSE ASSOCIATION
25th ANNUAL PAUL BOWERS MEMORIAL LACROSSE TOURNAMENT
SATURDAY, JUNE 5, 2010 & SUNDAY, JUNE 6, 2010
The Somers Lacrosse Association is pleased to announce the 25thAnnual Paul Bowers Lacrosse Tournament to be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 & Sunday, June 6, 2010 approx. from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm. The format will include both boys and girls in grades 3 thru 8.
Bantam (gr.3-4) boys and girls will play Saturday, June 5, 2010
Junior boys and girls (gr.5-6), Senior boys and girls (gr.7-8) will play Sunday, June 6, 2010.
All Divisions will play at the Somers School Complex and Firehouse fields.
Attached is the registration form, which needs to be completed and returned NO LATER THAN MAY 1, 2010. Please return the registration and check via regular mail rather than email. The tourney is first come, first served, and we do have limited spaces available, so register as early as possible. We have been over registered for the past nine years and have been forced to turn away late sign-ups. The non-refundable payment is $300.00 per team for Junior and Senior teams, and $225.00 for Bantams, and is due with the registration form. Please No RV’s and No Grills space is limited.
All teams will play at the Somers school complex and the firehouse fields. All games will consist of 25 minute running time games, with a 5-minute intermission between games, and all teams will be provided with a minimum of four games. Except for the Bantam divisions, they will play three games. (Locations and times are subject to change due to field availability)
Participation awards will be provided to all players. A team sportsmanship award will be presented to the respective boys/girls team as voted by the referees. Food pavilions, equipment vendors, and EMT’s will be provided.
Upon receipt of the registration form and payment, we will provide a complete package including schedules, directions the day of the tournament and all details and schedules will be on our website.
The Paul Bowers is a wonderful way to close out a successful LAX season with family and friends. We expect a record turnout, and our expanded format will allow more teams to participate and more games for all.
