2019 Fall Lacrosse League - REGISTRATION OPEN

Somers is once again hosting a Fall Ball Lacrosse League with one game each week on Saturdays.

  • League is for Girls and Boys Junior level players (grade 5/6) and Senior level players (grades 7/8) based on grade child is entering in Fall 2019; 4th graders have the opportunity to play on the Junior team with the recommendation of their spring coach
  • Somers residents will have the opportunity to register before out of town participants are considered
  • Season will run from Saturday, September 7 until Sunday, October 27.  Boys teams will play on Saturday mornings and Girls teams will plan on Saturday afternoons.
  • Fall Jamboree event will be held on October 26 & 27; this final event of the season will be a small round robin tournament
  • All games are played in Somers
  • Games will run 55 minutes (50 min playing time, 5 min halftime) in 10v10 or smaller formats

The Fall season is less intense than Spring lacrosse with few (if any) practices and one game per week. It's an opportunity for children to keep stick and game skills fresh and is designed for players of all skill levels.  It is recommended for children to have played at least one season so they understand the basics of the game.

Vinnie Carra and Mike Hoague will be coordinating the league. Schedules will be out late August once we have final commitments from all the towns participating.

Fall season fee is $50. Registrations will be open until September 6 or teams are full. Late fees apply after Sept 6.  We encourage you to sign up as early as possible to secure a spot and to allow us time to plan our team counts and schedule.
